This policy explains what information Your Stars Know ("we", "us") collects when you use our website and request a reading, how we use it, and the choices you have. We have tried to write it the way we write everything else here — plainly and honestly.

1. What we collect

• Details you give us: your name, email address, date of birth, time of birth (if provided), place of birth, the year you chose, and anything you optionally share about that year.
• Basic technical information: our website host and form provider may automatically log standard technical data (such as IP address and browser type) as part of operating their services.

We do not collect payment information — the past reading is free and we never ask for payment details for it.

2. How we use it

We use your information for exactly one purpose: to prepare and deliver your reading, and to communicate with you about it. That's it.

• We do not sell your information. Ever.
• We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for their own purposes.
• We do not feed your birth details to AI systems — every reading is prepared personally by a human astrologer.
• If you join our mailing list or request further readings, we may email you; you can opt out at any time.

3. Who processes it

Like most small websites, we rely on established service providers to operate: a website host, a form service that receives your submission, and an email provider. Your information passes through their systems solely so we can deliver the Service. These providers act under their own security practices and privacy policies.

4. Where it is processed

We operate from India, and our service providers may store data in other countries. By using the Service you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in India and wherever our providers operate.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your details for as long as needed to deliver your reading and maintain a record of who has used their one free reading. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below), and we will do so within a reasonable period, except for the minimal record needed to honor the one-reading-per-person rule.

6. Security — an honest note

We protect your information with reasonable, proportionate measures: reputable service providers, access limited to those preparing your reading, and no collection of anything we don't need.

We also want to be straightforward with you: we are a small, personal operation, not a technology company with a security department. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. While we will act responsibly and promptly if anything ever goes wrong, by using the Service you acknowledge that you provide your information with this understanding, and — to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law — we disclaim liability for unauthorized access, theft, or disclosure of information resulting from events beyond our reasonable control. If sharing your birth details under these conditions does not feel right to you, we completely understand, and we'd rather you not share them than feel uneasy.

7. Your choices and rights

• Access or correction: email us and we'll tell you what we hold about you or fix anything inaccurate.
• Deletion: reply to any email from us, or write to the address below, and we will delete your information as described in section 5.
• Marketing: we only email you about your reading unless you've asked for more; any promotional email will include a way to opt out.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law (for example, under Indian data protection law or the GDPR if you are in the EU). We will honor valid requests to the extent the law requires.

8. Children

The Service is for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time by posting the revised version here with a new "last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
